FCB is proud to launch our first enterprise bargaining report prepared specifically for the aged care industry. This tool offers providers specific insights about bargaining within their own industry, to help them improve strategies and outcomes.

During 2015, FCB’s aged care team undertook an extensive research project, investigating current enterprise bargaining trends, attitudes and practices in the aged care industry. Preliminary results were presented at the LASA National Congress in October 2015, with the final report now available.

The project examined qualitative and quantitative analysis of EAs approved by FWC in aged care and attitudes and perceptions by employer representatives. Among the key findings:

  • a median annual wage increase in aged care EAs that exceeds national standards;
  • significant differences between entitlements offered in different states;
  • mixed results as to why aged care employers actually engage in enterprise bargaining.
